Every step of the process is approached with care, patience, and intention. From preparing the soil and tending the lavender fields to harvesting and distillation, the work is rooted in a deep respect for the land and the natural beauty that surrounds it.
Lavender is carefully grown through each season using thoughtful farming practices that focus on quality over quantity. As the fields begin to bloom, the farm comes alive with fragrance, color, and the peaceful atmosphere lavender is known for. Once harvested, the lavender is thoughtfully distilled and transformed into handcrafted products inspired by simplicity, wellness, and everyday living.
The process is hands-on from beginning to end, allowing each product to reflect the time, care, and craftsmanship behind it. Whether it’s dried lavender, essential oils, or small-batch creations from the farm, everything is made with the goal of sharing the calming and timeless nature of lavender.
Inspired by the quiet beauty of Central Oregon, Palmer Lavender Farm embraces a slower pace of life — one centered around meaningful work, sustainability, and creating something genuine from the land itself.

The distillation process begins in the fields during harvest season, when the lavender blooms are carefully cut and gathered by hand. The fresh lavender buds are then packed into a small-batch distillation tank, where steam is used to gently open the blooms and release their natural oils.
As the water beneath the tank is heated, steam rises through the lavender, capturing the plant’s aromatic properties before traveling through a cooling system of coils. Once cooled, the liquid naturally separates into two products — pure lavender essential oil and hydrosol, a lightly lavender-infused botanical water known for its soft fragrance and versatile uses.
The entire process is hands-on and intentionally small-batch, allowing each harvest to be carefully monitored from start to finish. From the fields to the final distilled products, every step reflects a commitment to quality, simplicity, and the calming nature of lavender itself.

More than 15 different varieties of lavender are grown throughout the fields, creating a landscape filled with rich color, texture, and fragrance during the blooming season. Each variety offers something a little different — from deep purple blooms and soft silver tones to sweet floral aromas and earthy herbal notes.
Together, the different varieties create a natural balance throughout the fields, blending beauty, fragrance, and character into every season. Some lavender blooms early, while others reach their peak later in the summer, allowing the fields to continuously change and evolve as the season progresses.
The diversity of the lavender grown on the farm is what helps create the farm’s signature scent and identity. Rather than focusing on a single variety, Palmer Lavender Farm embraces the beauty of growing many different types together — allowing the fields themselves to reflect the depth, simplicity, and calming nature lavender is known for.
Throughout the growing season, the fields become filled with movement, fragrance, and color, creating a peaceful atmosphere inspired by the natural beauty and slower pace of life found in Central Oregon.

Nestled beneath the Cascade Mountains, Palmer Lavender Farm is built on hard work, simple living, and a deep appreciation for the beauty of the land. What began as one man’s vision has grown over the past few years with the help of two dedicated women who share a passion for lavender, creativity, and the peaceful spirit of farm life. Together, they have created a small farm rooted in care, quality, and intention. From the quiet rows of lavender to the handcrafted products inspired by the farm, everything reflects the calm and natural beauty of Sisters, Oregon. Palmer Lavender Farm is more than just a place where lavender is grown — it’s a reflection of slowing down, appreciating the process, and creating something meaningful from the land itself.
